Established in 1982, Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an internationally acclaimed Institution, which offers training programmes, academic courses and advisory in wildlife research and management. It functions as an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. It is located in Dehradun in the Indian State of Uttarakhand, about 250 km from New Delhi.
