Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management (IRITM) was established at Lucknow in 1999 as a Centralized Training Institute to impart training to Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officers selected through Civil Services Examination.The Institute was also entrusted with the responsibility of conducting academic courses in Transportation Business for In-service Traffic officers and Multi-disciplinary courses for all Railway officers.
